The setup of a new research lab from scratch not only requires big investments but also takes long lead time whilst high-quality research topics require an appropriate balance of experimental work, computer modeling & simulation, and fundamental theory. Therefore most of our research work would rely on close collaboration with other labs in TITech, Chulalongkorn Univ. and elsewhere. Examples of potential research topics are:
Synthesis and application of nanoparticles: simple cost-effective method of nanoparticles generation and their potential industrial applications will be developed Simplified calculation method for estimating energy savings attained via application of high-emissivity coating of internal wall surfaces of high-temperature furnaces: energy efficiency improvement and reduction of CO2 emission from industrial furnaces.
Modeling and simulation of an industrial catalytic fixed-bed tubular reactor.
