Current Research Topics

Research interests of the laboratory (with Assoc. Prof. Dr. M.Kubouchi) are the materials behavior under several environments. It will be possible to establish the reliability and the method of life-estimation of materials. And the results will be useful in the process of designing and maintenance of chemical equipments. Research fields are as follows;

Corrosion under liquid environments

  • Recycling of thermosetts and FRP
  • Behavior of polymer alloys
  • Development of smart materials

Cracking behavior of epoxy composites

  • Hybrid system of particulate-filled composites
  • Ultra-high filler contents systems
  • Development of high thermal resistant systems

Erosion behavior of composites

  • Sand erosion
  • Slurry erosion
