Current Research Topics

  • Because of the depletion of high grade fossil fuels which have high heating values and high purity, it is required to utilize low grade energy resources such as biomass and brown coals. I focus on developing methods which can convert these low grade carbonaceous resources into raw materials for energy and valuable chemicals efficiently.

    1. The production of valuable materials and chemical feedstocks from biomass efficiently.

    2. Kinetic analysis of low temperature oxidation of low rank coals to predict the self-ignition behavior.
